Caprylic acid is an anti-fungal fatty acid preferred by many doctors because of its gentleness and effectiveness over the prescription drug Nystatin for the control of Candida Albicans.

Caprylic acid works by dissolving the membrane of yeast cells, ultimately causing their membranes to be permeable. Because of its lipotrophic properties (which allow it to penetrate mucosal cells) caprylic acid is also believed to be effective against intramucosal Candida. Absorbed caprylic acid can be oxidized both in the mitochondrial and extra mitochondrial compartments of our tissues thereby eliminating additional toxic burden to the liver.

Precautions: All candida elimination protocols often exhibet "yeast die-off syndrome" (fatigue and flu-like symptoms) during the first week of treatment.  Therefore start at half dose the first week (one tablet daily) and increase to 2 tablets when die-off symptoms go away.  Drink water frequently and plentifully to flush the dead yeast from your body.
